Maintenance, evolution and management of application knowledge
The project
The Agency for Digital Administration of the Community of Madrid has been in charge for years of managing the computing and communications needs of the different departments of the Community itself, among which the development and acquisition of information systems and the support from the different management centres. Its functions include the development and acquisition of computer applications and information systems, and their subsequent maintenance and support.
The Community of Madrid assigned Izertis through Madrid Digital the management and technical assistance of its technological environments, the maintenance and creation of new applications related to Local Administration, Agriculture, Infrastructures, Environment, Spatial Planning, Transport, Housing, and Internal Management Applications.

The solution
It is proposed to provide technological coverage through a stable work team for all of the client's technological environments. To highlight: Java web applications, Oracle Forms web applications, Forms Unix and Delphi Client / Server applications, including Electronic Administration applications (based on @firma), mobile applications, paying special attention to system security issues.
The needs of the service required the immediate creation of a multidisciplinary team that made itself available to the client quickly to provide service to the areas of:
- Environment, Local Administration and Spatial Planning
- Planning and Demand Management
- Transport, Housing and infrastructure
The service was fully managed by the Izertis team, covering all phases of development: from analysis, design, to making patches, following high quality standards (CMMI Level 3) and with service levels based on demanding ANS.
The service required attending work peaks by specialist member, so a team was set up that could adapt to demand management.
The result
The new information and communication technologies make it possible to deeply transform Public Administrations. Thanks to this project, the Community of Madrid, through Madrid Digital, by means of Izertis work team and the corrective and evolutionary maintenance services, can provide the different Departments and Bodies of the Community of Madrid with solutions aimed at increasing efficiency in the provision of services to citizens and companies.
Such a changing environment demands great agility when providing services since the exposure of many of these applications to the public requires high quality standards due to the media impact of any type of error.
The emphasis on safe development and quality were key pillars in the service.
