Izertis obtains the “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” seal awarded by the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO)
Through the Association of Cybersecurity Industries of the Basque Country (Cybasque), an entity authorized to issue the seal, a new certification has been obtained that is aimed at cybersecurity companies and that provides a differential value to our firm, since it guarantees that the Cybersecurity - both of our technologies and of the company itself - originate in Europe.
The European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) is a non-profit, self-funded organization whose objective is to coordinate the development of the European cybersecurity ecosystem and support the protection of the European Digital Single Market. Ultimately, contribute to the advancement of European digital sovereignty and strategic autonomy.
"Obtaining this seal by leading international entities such as the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) represents a new and important step in our objective of continuous improvement to guarantee a reference service in cybersecurity matters to our clients", has highlighted Mónica Méndez, Cibersecurity Officer at Izertis.
To obtain this seal, interested companies must comply with a series of requirements, such as being a legal entity eradicated in Europe, that their activity is carried out mainly on the continent and that their solutions meet the minimum requirements indicated by ENISA ("Basic security requirements essential for secure ICT products and services"), among others.
The “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” accreditation is an initiative designed to promote European cybersecurity companies and increase its visibility in the European and global market. In addition, it aims to educate users, companies and investors about the strategic value of cybersecurity companies.
Likewise, the ECSO also promotes other initiatives such as Woman4Ciber, which aspires to create a harmonized ecosystem where the role and participation of women in the field of cybersecurity is considered. Following this line, our firm has recently collaborated in the 50MAWSP project through the development of the COMESA platform for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in Africa.
