Some examples are: and that value chain optimisation for the battery manufacturing industry (Gigabat: AI and blockchain); decentralised digital identity solutions (Identify: blockchain); a technological infrastructure to ensure the veracity and traceability of EU citizens' credentials allowing the exchange of documentation between countries (EBSI-Vector: blockchain); industrial research into treatments based on the generation of new cellularised and personalised bio-implants (BioPrintIA - AI and 3D bioprinting); and the construction of a cyber threat protection system in an industrial environment (Segres: cyber-IA).

One of the distinguishing features of the Emerging Technologies department is its ability to working in consortium models, with a large number of partners from different countries, both from public as well as private, with Izertis playing a leading technological role. As an example, it is worth mentioning the recognition of the INATBA award for the best blockchain project in Europe, which recognises the EBSI-Vector project led by Izertis. The project integrates 52 partners from 9 European countries, including technology companies, ministries and state currency agencies.
It is also worth highlighting the close cooperation that, thanks to the work carried out up to the innovation area is maintained with leading technology centres at the national and international level national or international, as well as with the innovation areas of large global companies.
