The project
The Agency for the Technological Modernisation of Galicia (Amtega) initiates the ARPAD project with the aim of creating the Integrated Digital Archive of Galicia, the preservation and dissemination of the joint documentary heritage, the provision of digital services and the elimination of paper in administrative relations in the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion. The aim was to establish the framework for the management of electronic documents.

Establishing the framework for electronic document management
The solution
Establishment of the framework for the management of electronic documents produced by the Public Administrations in the exercise of their functions, such as the management of digitised copies of documentary heritage documents held in the archives.
With this, the Xunta de Galicia's document management system has been developed in several phases, from the inventory of documentation, through the digitalisation of both administrative documents and files to custody, signature and validation, authentication, document grouping, classification, automation, storage, etc.
The result
Once the previous phases had been completed and with the aim of creating an accessible and secure environment, both for administrators and end users of all the information contained in the Electronic Archive, the Capture and Consultation Application was created, which serves as an interface for the user to deal with different documentary entities (documents and files) and carry out all the tasks related to document management.
