Izertis strengthens its position in Latam by acquiring 50% of Central American group Coderland
The technology consultancy Izertis has acquired 50% of the Central American group Coderland. Specialised in software development, the group has subsidiaries in Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador and Spain and has production centres in various locations in Latin America. This is the third international integration of Izertis in 2025, after the British consulting firms Assured Thought (January) and the May Business Consulting (MBC) group (April), maintaining the strong pace of international expansion set out in its 2027 Strategic Plan, with a focus on the main world markets. This new acquisition allows Izertis to expand its position in the Americas and to acquire new production centres in Central America, advancing its position as a global company, with three major production hubs in Europe, Latin America and India.
The Coderland Group, specialised in software development, is one of the largest specialists in digital transformation in Latin America. Founded in 2019, with headquarters in Panama and production centres in various locations, it develops projects for large clients in the United States and Latin America, as well as Spain, and has a workforce of more than 200 people. Coderland closed 2024 with a turnover of 9 million euros and an Ebitda of 1.5 million euros.
For the CEO of Izertis, Pablo Martín, the integration of Coderland "not only allows us to have facilities in various parts of Central America, but also to have new and expanded IT services development capabilities in Latam, in addition to our production centres in Mexico and Colombia". An alliance that favours the improvement of the global competitiveness of the Spanish technology consultancy firm by "being able to access the main technology talent markets and having greater flexibility in our production capacity in all geographies".
For his part, Coderland's CEO, Jorge Rubia, highlights that "joining hands with Izertis represents a giant step forward in our aim to consolidate our position as a key player in the demanding world of software. After an already significant growth, this alliance will allow us to accelerate our evolution, expand our portfolio of services within our clients and strengthen our ability to attract and retain the best technology talent in Latam. We are also proud that a company of the prestige and trajectory of Izertis has set its sights on us".
The integration of Coderland, the fifth international acquisition in the last year, comes in the same month that Izertis announced the acquisition of the MBC Group, its third in the UK after Assured Thought (January 2025) and Projecting (July 2024), and the fourth European acquisition (the Swiss Digiswit came in September 2024).
At the beginning of April, Izertis presented its FY2024 figures which consolidate its historical trajectory of uninterrupted growth: revenues were 138.1 million euros, 13.8% higher than in FY2023, while Normalised Ebitda was 20.7 million euros, 10.9% higher.
The Strategic Plan 2027 of the Spanish technology consultancy firm foresees revenues of 250 million euros and EBITDA of 33 million euros by the end of the year. In addition to international expansion, the main axes are brand recognition, progress in differentiation and the jump to the continuous market (listed on the BME Growth since November 2019).
