Acciona renews the Corporate Project Office Service (PMO) with Izertis
We renewed the tender contract for Acciona's Corporate Project Office Service (PMO). The aim of this initiative is to achieve progressive efficiency of all its demand management processes, projects, programmes, and other IT governance-related initiatives at national and international level, thus enabling it to respond to the group's IT needs as well as cross-departmental solutions and initiatives.
For this project, we will focus on driving the definition, adoption, measurement, and evaluation of the strategic, functional and operational IT capabilities needed to ensure the delivery of value to the company in this area. Furthermore, this contract, on which we have been working for two years and which we are now renewing for another one (with the possibility of an extension for an additional year), will enable the company to increase the efficiency and optimisation of its processes and management models throughout the IT community.
The renewal of this project is a recognition of the work and value that Acciona perceives for our company
In this line, we will continue to work with Acciona to identify and collaborate on transversal initiatives in addition to the service itself, identify new needs and shared strategic resources, and homogenise and continuously improve the processes, methodological frameworks and tools used in the different business lines, following a lean and agile working framework.
"The renewal of this project is a recognition of the work and value that Acciona perceives for our company. Even more so, when it comes from one of the largest Spanish companies, and an international energy benchmark, with which we continue to be involved in the transformation and operation of its project, demand and programme management models that come from Business", has highlighted Enrique Albaladejo, our Head of Governance.
"After 4 years working along these lines, we have been involved, as actors of change, as an element of homogenisation and continuous improvement of processes in all the countries where the multinational operates", has explained.
Defining and implementing a common IT process framework, managing change by ensuring the actual adoption of the processes in the organisation, facilitating, and streamlining communication between IT and business, and ensuring consistent monitoring of the project and programme portfolio are some of the tasks that our firm will help to execute.
A long-term project
In this context, at the beginning of this contract, our organisation proposed the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO). In it, with the involvement of all the actors involved and by applying a participatory 360º change management strategy, it has been possible to provide resources and services to support and guarantee the correct implementation of a common framework of IT processes. This has served as the basis for global management and a consolidated vision of the Acciona Group's IT projects.
Among the achievements made by Acciona after this implementation, the improvement in the efficiency of its IT processes stand out
In order to achieve the objectives set, four main lines were defined in the service, the definition and implementation of processes (demand management, portfolio management...), project management, reporting with a focus on monitoring the status of ICT demands and projects, and the creation of dashboards that consolidate the main KPIs.
Among the achievements made by Acciona after this implementation, the improvement in the efficiency of its IT processes stand out. Also, becoming a reference body in the different business units, implementing a 360º change management process, drawing up annual plans and designing a collaborative space that serves as a communication lever, among others.
Acciona is a leading Spanish business group in the management and development of infrastructure, renewable energy, water, and other services. It is part of the IBEX 35 and has a presence on 5 continents, with more than 30,000 employees organised in various divisions and business lines.
