Corporativo UNNE
Creation of verticals for maintenance, transport and logistics and ERP integration
The project
Since 1972 Corporativo UNNE has positioned itself as one of the best transport companies in Mexico, currently providing integrated logistics and transport solutions, supply of fuels and raw materials for the transformation industry.
The group implemented an ERP system with a high total cost of ownership (TCO), which did not cover operational, financial and integration needs with its transport and logistics management system. As well as no administrative control of the resources involved in the operational processes and that means rising costs in all the company's operations.
Challenges
-
Controlling the administrative processes of the group companies
-
Integrating and controlling the elements of the transport and logistics management system operations
-
Creating a maintenance management system for transport units
The solution
Izertis implemented the Microsoft Dynamics business management system for 150 concurrent users and in conjunction with the Izertis Spain software factory developed a transport management system for more than 300 users, fully integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics ERP and the satellite tracking systems of its transport units.
The main functionalities of such a transport system are as follows:
- Assignment and monitoring of trips.
- Management and control of expenses of operators and transport units.
- Management of customer invoicing.
- Real time monitoring of transport units.
Within the Dynamics ERP, a vertical was created to manage the maintenance of the transport units of all the companies that make up the group.
Its main functionalities are:
- Control and management of service orders for each of the units.
- Resource management (operators, tools, spare parts, etc.).
- Control of guarantees and validity of spare parts and tools.
- Control of maintenance personnel activities.
- Intercompany invoicing.
- Management and control of circulation permits of the units, such as: vehicle verification and government permits.
The result
UNNE has achieved that all group companies carry out their inventory, purchase and sales transactions automatically, which means greater control and unification of processes.
With the integration of ERP into the transport and logistics management system, UNNE now has the power to manage the financial resources of its transport companies more effectively, establishing control of its budgets, giving greater visibility for all areas involved in making changes to budget planning.
One of the most outstanding benefits is the possibility of maintaining real-time control of the location of the transport units, which allows operators to be assisted in the event of a contingency.
The maintenance control and management system reduce the cost of contracting external suppliers by making the most of the company's own resources, materials, tools and spare parts.
Among others, it can be highlighted the optimisation and improvement of the invoicing processes, which increased customer satisfaction and improved cash flows.
