CIMC Tianda Airport Services
Tool for real-time monitoring of airport assets
The project
CIMC Tianda Airport Services - a company specialising in airport maintenance and in servicing boarding bridges (jet away), as well as aircraft air pre-conditioning - required a real-time monitoring of its boarding walkways and auxiliary equipment (air-conditioning and electricity). This project has been developed to service the main Italian airports.
Challenges
-
Creating a scalable and flexible application that adapts to new protocols and manoeuvres
-
Real-time monitoring of different airport assets and integrating other systems.
-
Facilitating the storage of data in the application for later analysis or for use by IA or Big Data systems.
The solution
Software has been developed for real-time integration with other systems, allowing the display of different points of interaction or relevant information from the boarding bridge, such as inclination, length, height, turning angle, operation mode, and even alerts about incident that may occur. The solution also provides access to aspects of the peripherals that usually have a bridge, such as the PCA or 400Hz, elements that supply the aircraft pre-conditioning air and energy whilst the aeroplane is preparing for boarding and subsequent lift-off.
The result
The client can now perform real-time management of assets linked to the platform, and later analyse its performance thanks to the data stored by the tool.
The application can also be accessed from mobile devices, has a flexible and robust design, and works in any setting. An evolved and competitive development has been achieved, geared towards CIMC Tianda Airport Services clients, on a commercial and technical level, and adaptable to the needs of any airport and boarding bridge in the world.
