Technology: a key driver for a more sustainable and inclusive future

In a business environment that increasingly demands a genuine commitment to sustainability, Izertis has presented its 2024 Sustainability and Non-Financial Reporting Report as a testament to its firm commitment to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into its business strategy. The Spanish technology consultancy understands that technology is not only a tool for digital transformation, but also a key driver for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

The 2024 results reflect a year of solid growth, with revenues exceeding €138.1 million and normalised EBITDA of €20.7 million, demonstrating that economic ambition can go hand in hand with corporate responsibility by materialising its commitment through various initiatives and policies.

On the environmental front, Izertis is in the process of obtaining ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas certification in 2025, a step that complements its ISO 14001:2015 certification. This commitment translates into concrete actions within the company, such as reducing electricity consumption and waste generation, including confidential paper and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In addition, efficiency in the use of resources is encouraged and a proactive attitude towards environmental protection is promoted.

Human talent management is another fundamental pillar for Izertis. The company actively promotes diversity and inclusion through its Equality Plan, ensuring equal treatment and opportunities in access to employment and professional promotion. More than 28,400 hours have been dedicated to staff training in crucial areas such as new technologies, cybersecurity and data protection, recognising the importance of the professional growth and development of its team and also offering flexible working hours and teleworking to facilitate work-life balance.

Innovation with purpose is a hallmark of Izertis. In 2024, more than 30 innovation projects were developed, many of them in collaboration with universities, research centres and startups. Examples such as the N0Waste project, focused on sustainability in the agri-food sector, and AIGECO II, a smart aggregator of electricity generation and consumption, illustrate how Izertis' technological expertise is applied to address sustainability challenges. Izertis considers Research, Development and Innovation as the best way to respond to the constant demand for new technologies and products.

Izertis' strategic vision is set out in its Strategic Plan 2027, which pursues ambitious economic growth objectives while maintaining a responsible model. To ensure transparency and accountability, the Sustainability Report is prepared following the requirements of Law 11/2018 and the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards in anticipation of the requirements of the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRSD). In addition, a dual materiality study was conducted in 2024 to identify the most relevant sustainability issues for both the business and its stakeholders.

Izertis also has a strong corporate governance and ethics framework. It has a Code of Ethics that establishes clear guidelines for all staff and a Criminal Compliance Policy. To ensure integrity and transparency, the company has implemented several whistleblowing channels, including an anonymous channel, an ethics mailbox and a compliance mailbox, ensuring confidentiality and protection for whistleblowers. Corruption and bribery are strictly prohibited in all company operations.

The Izertis Sustainability Report 2024 shows an organisation where technology and sustainability are intertwined as fundamental pillars of its strategy, seeking not only economic success, but also the generation of long-term value for its shareholders.
